Parque Rodo - A french style urban park
Parque Rodo is one of the many beautiful green spaces in Montevideo. Originally planned by the french landscape designer Carlos Thays it took the name of one of the many well known uruguayan writers of the XX century, Jose Enrique Rodo. The park is a great place to relax, enjoy a sunny day and take amazing photographs of the lake, sculptures, the small castle and fonts. Like on many places of the city, art and culture also take place on the park. There is a fixed open air photo gallery that changes every month. Urban shows and music spectacles take place too by the lake, including the local philarmonic band. Don't miss the opportunity to take a walk over this gorgeous park.
